How we work

One loop. Signal in, judgment out. The Loop compounds.

Every signal your brand generates: sales, search, competitors, creative, flows through a synthesis core, hands off to a human at the center, and loops outcomes back in to make the whole system sharper. This is the 1209 Loop, our proprietary system, in full.

The 1209 Loop Machine synthesis Human judgment
01 — LISTEN

The Loop watches everything

Sales, search, competitors, creative, the shelf: every signal your brand generates, watched continuously so nothing meaningful slips past.

02 — SYNTHESIZE

The Loop finds the story

The Loop correlates thousands of moving parts into the handful of things that actually move the business — surfaced long before they'd show up in a monthly report.

03 — DECIDE

You stay in command

Every recommendation reaches a strategist before it reaches your brand. The Loop proposes; a human disposes. Nothing ships on autopilot.

04 — COMPOUND

It acts, then learns

Approved moves go live, outcomes flow back in, and the Loop grows sharper with every cycle. Your advantage compounds instead of resetting.

Philosophy

The best decisions are neither fully human nor fully machine. They live in the space between the two, and that's where we build.

Software is extraordinary at holding scale: thousands of signals, watched without fatigue, correlated without bias. People are extraordinary at the things software can't touch: taste, timing, context, the judgment call that doesn't fit the pattern.

We refuse to choose between them. The intelligence layer we build does the tireless work of noticing, connecting, and surfacing, so the humans who know your brand spend their attention where it's worth the most: on the decision itself.

The result isn't a tool you operate or a service you wait on. It's a loop, quietly running alongside your brand, making every decision a little sharper, and getting harder to compete with the longer it runs.

"The machine proposes. A human disposes. The brand compounds."

Who's working on your account

Two decades in ecommerce. Founder-run, no handoffs.

I started in ecommerce in 2002, selling t-shirts and stickers for a surfing website I built. By 2006 that had grown into a full end-to-end ecommerce business for the surf shop I worked for.

In 2010 I moved into motorsports, running ecommerce and digital marketing for one of the sport's top drivers. When he launched an energy drink brand in 2019, I made the jump into CPG. The people around that project taught me the business far beyond ecommerce, and I still work with many of them today.

ChatGPT's release in 2022 changed things for me, and I went all-in on learning AI. When the energy drink company folded in 2023, that same network helped me step into a fractional role, and the AI knowledge became the foundation for 1209 Digital, which I founded at the start of 2025. Still curious, still learning.

Your data, handled like it matters.

Infrastructure

Enterprise-grade cloud

Your account data lives on Amazon Web Services, encrypted in transit and at rest.

Access

Fewer hands, by design

A founder-run shop means your numbers aren't passed around a floor of contractors. Access stays tight, and accountable to one person.

Use

Never shared, never sold

Your data is used to grow your brand, and nothing else. Never sold, never shared, never used to train anything beyond your own account.

Let's build on it

Your brand already generates the signal. Let's run it through the Loop.

We work with a small number of early-stage brands at a time, so the Loop, and the operator running it, never drift from the work.
